Feadan McCall is an Amsterdam based artist and educator,
born in Utrecht, with a Scottish Father, a Dutch mother and a dancing brother.
She dances because she naturally feels the need to move, communicate and transform on a physical and energetic level.
She danced at Touchee DC in Utrecht in her younger years with the family Alvares. In 2010 she studied 1 year at the 5 o-clock department of the School of Performing Arts Amsterdam, under the wings of Jocelyn Bergland. After that she studied at the Jazz / Hiphop Contemporary department of the School of Performing Arts Amsterdam, under the artistic direction of Eddi de Bie.
In her internship year she had the leading rol in Danstheater AYA’s ‘Snowwhite and the 7 Breakers’ what toured through NL & Belgium, danced for Anne Suurendonk in the production “Paradiddles’ and also went to study dance in New York USA & Martial Arts in Linyi China. She graduated in 2015.
Feadan works now ever since as a freelance choreographer, dancer and educator.
Feadan has gained several certificates and completed trainings in the area of voice and breath work & regulating the nervous system, amongst others learned from her teachers Liz Koch (USA), Simrit Sarit Maor (Israel) and Githa ben Davids (Denemarken).
In december 2021 she finished her education at the Psychodynamica Academy as a Systemic Constellations coach and is now studying Trans-Cultural Systemic Work at the School for Systemisch Bewustzijn.
She developed the mastercourse Systemic Movements & Dance in 2023 together with Hilbrand Westra and now is teaching it together with Monique Bolung at de School voor Systemisch Bewustzijn.
She is the Co-Founder of the Energy Movement (2015), together with Reve Terborg, where they are guiding people in understanding their own body and deepening their own dance language.
Feadan is interested in musicality, the body and its authentic expression,
how can you move in ‘precense’ with what is.

Last year was a transformational year in a sense that I got the opportunity to fully let go of the way I used to approach dance training for my self and keep going on investigating and integrating a new way.
The body as living organism (instead of a object/ machine) & the rhythms we have.
With the lock down and not being able to train the way I used to, Open Your Mind invited me to really go with an open mind. With joy and ability to share vibes together since long!
Super happy for the event existing, for Drosha and everyone present.
Looking forward for coming season were I can deepen my practice and share it at the same time.
Creating spaces for magic experiences to take place.

The world comes to a halt. You are on your own. The city is dark and deserted. In the distance another light burns.
NACHTRAVEN brings the dancers of ISH Dance Collective and the musicians of Het Balletorkest together in a performance that could only arise in this time of corona. A performance about how you are thrown back on yourself when the train suddenly comes to a stop. About the individual versus the masses. About the discomfort and humor of new forms of contact.
Exclusively in the Transformatorhuis of the Westergasfabriek, we receive 100 people per performance in the setting of a nightclub. Take a seat at a table around the dance stage and experience an explosive mix of Hiphop, Break and Experimental Dance and classical music up close. Black Street meets Igor Stravinsky.

2020 Danstheater AYA Bloedband - Dancer
As brother and sister you know each other like no other. But jealousy and competition often surface as well. The annoyance when she comes out too smart again, or when he has to prove himself to his friends. Choreographer Anne Suurendonk creates a performance with real brothers and sisters; Liam and Feadan McCall and Jaloe and Noa Tielens. And with composer and musician Tom van Wee. Brothers and sisters have to get along, at least for the first +- twenty years. And no matter how old you are, the child always comes out in you. ‘Bloedband’ is about a relationship in which you are tested, kept sharp, challenged and cared for all your life. IN AN INTERESTING, INTENS AND BEAUTIFUL JOURNEY, BROTHER AND SISTER LIAM & FEADAN MCCALL ARE MEETING EACH OTHER AGAIN AS DANCEMAKERS IN THE STUDIO OF THEATER COMPANY DOX, WHERE THEY HAD A RESIDENCY.
IN 15 DAYS THEY HAVE TRIED OUT DIFFERENT IDEAS; THEY LEARNED TO SPEAK THEIR OWN, EACH OTHERS AND NEW DANCE LANGUAGES; THEY EXPERIMENTED WITH (MAKING) MUSIC ON DIFFERENT LEVELS AND SEARCHED FOR A WAY TO BRING ALL OF IT IN TO ONE THEME.. 'HOME?' THANKS TO VICTOR MENTINK FOR THE FEEDBACK DURING THE PROCES AND MIQUEL DE JONG FOR THE VALUABLE WORKSHOP AND COACHING.

Aya blows the dust of the fairy tale story and turns Snow White and the 7 breakers into a dazzling show in which singing, hip-hop, b-boying and modern dance come together. With vocals by Joanne Telesford (known for the musicals Fame, Lion King, Tarzan and Amandla Mandela) and new Dutch lyrics written by Sophie Kassies on well-known songs by Tina Turner, No Doubt and Anthony and the Johnsons, arranged by Ad van Dijk . A new form for an ancient story about life, which also brings a new beginning with every ending. Top-quality entertainment for the whole family.
